How Can You Elevate Your Event?
Are you looking to take your event to the next level and make a lasting impact on your guests? How do you go about starting that process? What options do you have? Well, let’s talk about it.
Sure, you can browse Pinterest boards and google for inspiration, but once you have the inspiration how do you bring it to life? There are many ways to elevate your event, and that all has to do with your goal. Do you want guests to be impressed with the visual aspects? Do you want them to remember the event for how well it was executed? Do you want to create crowd involvement activities? Maybe you want a mix of these things.
For visual effects there are many ways to enhance the event environment. You can apply colored lighting to the event space to accentuate your color palate. You can create custom monograms to display silhouettes related to themes or names. You can use screens or LED panels to create prominent displays in many different sizes and orientations. In addition you can even create custom animated digital projections to further incorporate themes and designs. Using effects such as cold spark machines or fog, create immersive atmospheres that will surely make your focal points lasting memories.
Maybe you have performances, speeches or presentations, or maybe a timeline packed full of events. It’s important to have someone in charge of overseeing and managing those events. It always seems like a good idea to pack your event with many activities, but be reasonable with what can be accomplished in your time frame. It’s also important to have a buffer in case unforeseen things occur. People don’t always talk about how well events were ran, but they will talk about how poorly they were done. Hire a professional to run your timeline and inform guests of things that are happening, allowing yourself to spend valuable time with guests.
Is getting your guests involved one of your primary priorities? There are many ways and levels in which that can be done. You can do something as simple as getting a group photo of all your attendants. You can take that a step further by doing an activity called a “One Song Challenge” also referred to as “DJ vs Photographer”. In this activity the DJ will play a song, and the photographer will run table to table snapping a photo of each table and its guests. This allows you to capture fun memorable shots while also offering a quick welcome to your guests. You can also play trivia or do scavenger hunts. If your event is a wedding, you play a shoe game where the newlyweds sit back to back while asked a series of questions. They each have one of their own shoes, and one of the others shoes and they raise the shoe they think is the best fit. Asking questions such as “Who is the better cook”, or “Who is the better driver”, guests get a kick out of this fun activity especially if there are disagreements. Offering a Photobooth is another great option for entertaining guests, and it allows you to capture even more memorable moments with guests having the freedom to get serious and silly photos.
Now that we have discussed some key options for Elevating your event, I hope your creativity is blooming. Why are we still here, get out there and plan your event! Cheers!
