The Rotunda at the Dayton Arcade has been beautifully resurrected as a vibrant public and private event space, once again serving as a centerpiece of connection and celebration. While community members are encouraged to visit and experience the stunning architecture and atmosphere when private events are not scheduled, it’s important to plan ahead. Availability can vary, so checking in advance ensures the Rotunda will be open for public access. Whether attending a special event or simply stopping by to admire its beauty, the space continues to welcome guests with its timeless charm and renewed purpose.

Accent Your Event
One of the most impactful enhancements within the Dayton Arcade is the Rotunda’s stunning dome lighting. This feature offers full customization, allowing you to tailor the ambiance to perfectly match the décor and overall vibe of your event. Whether you’re looking for bright, vivid colors to energize the dance floor or soft, airy tones to subtly accent your design, the dome becomes a dynamic centerpiece that transforms the entire space.
With the ability to shift moods throughout the event, dome lighting creates a seamless transition from elegant ceremony or cocktail hour to a lively evening celebration. It’s more than just lighting, it’s an immersive experience that elevates the atmosphere and leaves a lasting impression on every guest.
There are many controllable lights on the truss at the top of the dome shooting down onto the floor. We call these "Truss Downlighting".
There are also lights right below the railing all the way around the Rotunda shooting up into the glass of the dome. We call these "Dome Uplighting".
"Truss Downlighting" is owned by the Arcade and has a limited number of colors and control options based on a few pre programmed scenes available to the Arcade Staff.
"Dome Uplighting" is owned and operated by Legacy Event Group and is charged separately for operation and/or customization.
Adding a lighting technician from Legacy Event Group allows you to customize any controllable light at the Arcade during the event. This includes full customization and live scene changes for lights owned by the Arcade and lights owned by Legacy Event Group.
Without hiring a Legacy lighting technician for the event:
The standard "Dome Uplighting" option (reserved from Legacy Event Group) includes a single color during the whole event. These shoot color up into the glass of the dome and are remotely turned on and off at a pre-scheduled time by Legacy Event Group.
Arcade Staff will operate the "Truss Downlighting" within the limited pre-programmed lighting scenes. They are able to change the scene through out the event, but cannot customize any of the pre-programmed scenes.
