Detailed Direction
Most couples haven’t had their photos professionally taken very often, if ever. I am there to help guide you through the process and make it feel effortless. The photos we get are a mix of classic portraiture (the one older family members want to display on their mantle) and editorial storytelling. During portrait time, I direct you through a series of movements and prompts that make for cute photos and are easy for you to do because they are interaction based and being together is the easy part. That way we can focus on capturing connection and those real moments that naturally unfold throughout the day and you don’t ever get burnt out on being photographed.
The Preparation
Your wedding day is a story in itself that we tell with style and care. On your wedding day, I arrive early to scope things out and set everything up for flawless execution throughout the day. The first photographs we usually take are carefully styled details of your formalwear, accessories, and paper goods. As the day unfolds, we catch the moments that are fleeting but so full of feeling. We artfully put that emotion into each photograph so that when you look back at your images, you can truly re-live what it felt like to be in the moment on your wedding day.
